Essential and preference storage

Optional analytics storage
After consent, local storage holds a random Poodle Chess analytics identifier and first-touch attribution. Session storage holds a random session identifier with a 30-minute inactivity window. Google Analytics may also set first-party _ga and _ga_7Z4RNVEM9G cookies to distinguish visits. These values are not Poodle Chess account IDs and are not created through device fingerprinting.
Third-party browser tracking
Google Analytics loads only after consent, with Google signals and advertising-personalization signals disabled. The pilot does not load advertising pixels, third-party fonts, or social-media tracking scripts. Cloudflare and other infrastructure providers can still process normal network data required to deliver the website.
Your control
You can also clear site data in your browser. Clearing browser storage resets local preferences and anonymous identifiers.
